Dota Underlords has been released to the public for testing. This is the Official Standalone Version of Dota Auto Chess. It means that you don’t have to install Dota 2 to play the Arcade game “Auto Chess” anymore. Dota Underlords Mobile Version is coming up soon as well. Right now the PC Version of Dota Underlords can be downloaded and played by anyone.

It’s a new stand-alone game that’s a copy of the Arcade game “Auto Chess” inside Dota 2. Valve and the developers of Auto Chess together in collaboration made Dota Underlords.
You will be playing against seven other players. You have to build, combine and level up your heroes to dominate the other players. The game is identical to Auto Chess but new features have been added as well. Dota Underlords Mobile is free to play.
The map or the chess board is called White Spire in Dota Underlords. Superior tactics and luck is required to win the game. You can also play offline against bots or play together with friends against bots. What’s New in Dota Underlords?
The game-play remains the same but the name is different. So, lets check out whats else is new in Dota Underlords. The characters in the game are the same as the Dota 2 Heroes. The User Interface is totally new compared to the Arcade game “Auto Chess”.
The Dota Heroes are divided in five tiers who have their own special skills and ultimates. You can also checkout their stats inside the game. You can merge 3 of the same hero to upgrade his star level.
There are Alliances in Dota Underlords. Different tactics can be created using Alliances. For example: Having 1 assassin hero on your board gives 10% chance to critical hit for 300% damage but having 3 assassin heroes on your board gives 30% chance for 500% damage.
There are various items in Dota Underlords. Items are also divided into 5 tiers. You receive items when you’re playing the game and defeat opponents. Items can be given to heroes and they can be upgraded into newer items as well. New feature is that there are specific items for specific Alliance Heroes. For example: The “Strange Bedfellows” Item provides Demon Hunter with +30% Pure Damage for each unique allied Demon unit.
Dota Underlords Gameplay
The game-play is however ditto to the Auto Chess version. You place your heroes on the chess board and it battles with other units. You upgrade your hero by merging 3 of the same hero. Get buffs by mixing 2 or more than 2 of the same alliance.
In the PC version of the game, You can select the Interface Mode. You can select either PC or Mobile Mode. You can use the Mobile Mode which will make the screen as if you’re playing on your Mobile Device.
